AIS and Nestlé Healthy Active Kids virtual classroom June 2017

The first virtual classroom of 2017 was held on Friday 16 June with hosts Australian Rugby Sevens Olympian Ellia Green and Chef Kristen McQueen.

You can now watch the recording of the virtual classroom and teach your students two new healthy new recipes.

The webinar lesson includes information on portion sizes, lunch boxes and food groups. There is also a fun physical activity segment in the middle to get your students moving.

The AIS and Nestlé Healthy Active Kids virtual classroom will be hosted by Chef Kristen McQueen and Australian Rugby Sevens player Ellia Green.

Kristen McQueen

Kristen McQueen is a professional Culinary Innovations Chef for Nestlé. She has eight years experience working in the Pastry Section of some of Australia’s best restaurants, alongside some of the best known Chefs in Australia.

Kristen has been a member of the Culinary Innovations team in Rhodes for eight years during which time she had created a large number of outstanding recipes.

Ellia Green

Ellia Green made history in Rio as a part of the gold-medal winning women’s rugby sevens team. The team was also won the World Series in 2016, the first Australian team to do so. Green was the fourth highest tryscorer of the series. 

The Fijian-born flyer grew up competing in athletics before she was recruited into the Australian Rugby Sevens program in 2012. Green made her international debut in 2013.
